Yogasonics Foundation Classes/ Workshops

The first introduction class is an immersive upload of the BreathewiththeBeat Technology as it is attuned with Asana, Vinyasa and Pranayama.

This 90 minute class (or two hour workshop for a more immersive practice)  is for Yogis/Yoga Studios to introduce the breathewiththebeat system of asana, movement and synchronising the beat attuned breath into our bodymind consciousness on all levels. (This workshop can be a lead in (Week 1 ) to the 8 week course Yogasonics

The tone of musical instruments and our own voice facilitate deepening the resonance of our body-mind with the universal rhythms and wholeness of spirit. Yogic practices of rhythmic breath and devotion, chanting and singing, or other forms of gentle movement such as T’ai chi, promote integration…. As we align more closely with our own rhythm, serendipity is a frequent visitor as we resonate more closely with the rhythms of the universe. ~JoEllen Goertz Koerner

Pranayama is the spirit and soul of our yoga practice.

Regulating Breath is regulating life. We know that slow steady breaths calm our mind and settle our nervous system. We might also be aware that faster breathing generates heat and moves stagnant energy, waking us up when we’re tired or unfocused.

Breathing with the beat synchronises and regulates our breath, our inhales and exhales evenly, rhythmically.  The omnipotent steady bpm of the music is the underlying presence to this regulation. We inhale and exhale for the 8 rhythm to begin our practice. Usually I begin with a bpm of 90-100; its downtempo and deep and the monotone rhythm taps into our instinctual base brains, offering it a steady heartbeat of harmony.

Movement is introduced slowly into the class. Mindful flowing easeful releases of the main joints of the body as we’re lying down, so that we sync with ourselves, our own ‘house’ before we rise up to a more dynamic practice on our feet.

From base to crown, we mindfully and musically bring rhythm, awareness and sonic sensations to all parts of our house, in rhythm with the ‘house’ of those practising with us. The rhythm of my house is synched with the wider ’house’.

We flow through Vinyasa Sequences to synchronise this new rhythmic attunement with our yoga flows.

Music and especially warm rhythmic music is the heartbeat of our soul and so with mindful lyrics, soulful harmonics and familiar frequencies, our inner world is softened and our hearts lifted, there is a natural and ecstatic high that comes with this consistent regulation and attunement with the breath and beat.

Subtle ultrasonics, rainbow light yoga nidra and deep silence are part of our wind down and savasana, where we allow the flow of the sound waves to settle and sync with our system.
