The class is beginners level and will include a meditation, visualisation and movement practice in rhythm with music and also including silence!
House of Yoga is a technology of movement which is
based on synch-ing the pitch and tempo of our breath with the rhythm of an electronic music beat. The BWTB technology maps the body as a biocomputer so we plug in through feet and bones, power on by activating our core ‘hardware’ and inhale and exhale through the ‘software’ of our hearts. This course focuses on the 4 lowest elemental part of this 'biocomputer' is the fir And all this through balanced flowing movements of 13 main joints of the body in sync with great tunes.
Mindfulness is bringing more attention to the present moment and this unique breath body beat technique attunes our mind into rhythm with body and breath, through the sounds of smooth rhythmic house and disco frequencies. We collect and connect our attention and intention to the here and now thoroughly engaging mind, heart body and breath with the omnipotent beat. Counting with the rhythm of the beat is a balanced, effective and joyful tool for both calming (breathing for a longer rhythm) and energising (breathing for 4 or 2 beats with the music) our presence and organising our attention.
Breath is the backbone of yoga, beats are the backbone of music.
This is a truly absorbing and powerful experience which reminds us that our own breath and body is the bridge to higher states of consciousness and bliss. The most connected, effective high is through the spirit of our own breath. In Latin the word for breath is the same word for spirit.
Pranayama is the bridge between the external and internal worlds, between our individual ‘innernet’ connection’ and the external world.
This class will include some flowing sequences, seated movements and a long meditative visualisation and savasana. It is suitable for a beginner to yoga, however some basic experience of yoga is needed for awareness of common postures. The class is an introduction to the 4 week course based on the first part of the Yogasonics system.
