Karla Kelly - Breathe with the Beat

Festivals and Live Events

Some of the real magic of House of Yoga has been developed at festivals, especially starting the day for Jerry Fish’s Electric Sideshow at the Electric Picnic for 6 years. (see photo!) I’ve taken it to Glastonbury Festival, Body & Soul, Life Festival and Kaleidoscope Festivals as well as facilitating opening and closing ceremonies over the years at Moynalty Yoga Festival.

‘At the Body & Soul Sanctuary stage Karla Kelly taught a movement class named Breathe with the Beat, in which people synced their breath to Seven Nation Army and Can You Feel It. At one point she instructed her students to touch different parts of their bodies and tell them they loved them. ‘I love you, legs’ she said. I love you knees.’ The Irish Times September 5, 2019

The festival House of Yoga session is an experience where your Body & Soul participation is part of the collective contribution and inner reconnection. With a live DJ, supersonic sound system and an openhearted open minded festival crew, it's the perfect to make space in body and mind getting ‘high’ on your breath to start the day!

The class is all standing so no mats or special gear required, as long as you can walk and move your arms you can wear your sequins! The movements are easy and simple and synching each part of the body and breath with the the balanced beats creates a sense of unity within and without. Breath is the essence of life, synching our breath with a classic dance music beat is a simple, fun and empowering way to bring body, mind and heart into rhythm. AND everyone is in sync together as one family, one movement, as one - we are instantly creating the feeling that a flash mob brings! From feet to head, slow and steady, easy and fun like, we use the wave of the breath, first long and slow then short and energising to regulate rhythms of the body mind and heart.

As we tune in together to ourselves, to each other, to the music ,we become one wave, one breath, in rhythm, a flashmob of good feelings. House of Yoga's logo is like Wi-Fi signal in the colours of the energy centres or chakras of the body mind consciousness. We start in the feet and sync with the beat in each colour and body place all the way to our crown. Releasing the beat from head to crow.

To bring House of Yoga to your next Festival or event, meet with me, Karla by emailing breathewiththebeat@gmail.com to set up a connection chat.
